TV newsreader sets fire to Paris Hilton

A US television news presenter refused to lead her bulletin with the latest Paris Hilton story, then screwed up, shredded and attempted to set fire to the script on air.

A clip showing the presenter's stand has been viewed more than 250,000 times on YouTube.

Ugly dog wins ugly dog contest

The two-year-old Chinese Crested and Chihuahua mix has been crowned the world's ugliest dog, a distinction that delighted the New Jersey canine's owners.

'The breeder was going to put him down him because she thought he was too ugly to sell. Now Elwood's all over the internet and people love him and adore him.

Get the picnic knack

The word picnic is thought to originate from 16th-century France, with 'piquer' meaning to pick or peck and 'nique' indicating a worthless thing. It wasn't until 100 years later that the word became commonly used but since then, picnicking has become a staple of British summers.

New hotel set to really take off..

Fogged-in, strikebound, 'bumped' or early-morning passengers are now being given an alternative to airport plastic seating – a hotel in the terminal.

The hotel at Gatwick's south terminal has 46 premium and standard cabins. Both have room for two, en-suite bathrooms and can be booked for just four hours.

No more girlfriends, orders judge

A judge has ruled that a 24-year-old man cannot have a girlfriend for three years.

The ruling came after Canadian Steven Cranley pleaded guilty to punching and kicking a former partner.

Doctors in Ontario said he had difficulty coping with rejection.

'Zombies' arrested in downtown Minneapolis

Six friends spruced up in fake blood and tattered clothing were arrested in downtown Minneapolis on suspicion of toting "simulated weapons of mass destruction

Police said the group were allegedly carrying bags with wires sticking out, making it look like a bomb, while meandering and dancing to music as part of a "zombie dance party" Saturday night

Kate Kibby, one of those arrested, said previous zombie dance parties at the Mall of America and on light-rail trains have occurred without incident. Last fall, nearly 200 people took part in a "zombie pub crawl" in northeast Minneapolis.

Nice yeah!! What else do we need ???

Live Earth Brazil is Free!!

Rio de Janeiro is the latest city to join the global Live Earth series of concerts that will take place on July 7th

The 24-hour Live Earth concert series will begin in Sydney, Australia and continue across all 7 continents with events in Tokyo, Shanghai, Johannesburg, London, Hamburg, and at New Jersey’s Giants Stadium.

The Copacabana concert, which could attract up to one million people, will be the largest event and the only concert to be entirely free.
